Villa Rose is in Fira, capital of Santorini, on the lower road leading to Karterados village, just a 6-minute walk from the main square of Fira town and a 3-minute walk from the Caldera & Volcano views.
Fira is the capital and the most important village on the island. It is located at the west side, just 5km from the airpot and 10km away from the main port, Athinios.
Fira is perched on the edge of an impressive cliff at an altitude of 260m and offers a great panorama over the submerged volcano. The small streets during summer season period are crowed and filled with all kind of shops, jeweleries, cafe, restaurants, bars and night clubs.
Buses arriving from the Port & Airport, stop next to the Hotel. It is only a 5-minute walk to the local bus terminal.
Right next to the hotel is the nearest local bus stop with routes connecting to the beaches of Kamari, Perissa, Monolithos as well as Perivolos Village.

Things to do in Fira:
• For those in search of a knowing better the culture of the island, visitors can visit the Archaeological Museum collecting many items from the excavations of the ancient Minoan settlement in Akrotiri.
• The town also has many churches and monasteries such as Agios Minas, the cathedral of Hypapandi, the cathedral of Christ, the monastery of Panagia ton Dominikanidon, Panagia tou Rodariou and the Catholic Cathedral.
• There is also the Megaron Gyzi Museum which has a fascinating collection of photos of Fira before and after the earthquake of 1956.
• Fira also has an old port that was, for many years, the main port of Santorini. Today, this port is only used for cruise boats. From the old port visitors can take boats touring the volcano of Nea and Palia Kameni.
